Brought To You By The Letter O

O is pretty slim pickins' but, here we go.

This is a great song. I don't think you'll find a live version of it as it was released after he died. He was only 26.

I loved this stuff. Hell, I still do. Don't judge me. My Paternal Grandma did an extensive,uh, what do you call it?...Genealogy thing before she died. She told us there was "a ****** in the woodpile". I believe her. I'm good with that.
The Audio on the first one sucks so I threw in another that you can hear. You just can't sit still, can 'ya? I can't. These guys had a lot of great tunes.

Didn't like her music then, don't like it now, won't like it in the Great Beyond. But...I could watch her sing it all day long. (If 'ya know what I mean.)Well maybe not all day, but for awhile. Of course I could watch Meredith Hoenes give a traffic report all day too. :)

Now. Where was I? Oh yes. This was the second concert I snuck into at the Civic Center back in my hometown. I did this one Spider Man style. Seriously. It was the Summer of '76 maybe? I don't know,70 something. Some people were leaning out of the top window on the North side of the building before the show, smoking something. I was standing out in the parking lot below by myself, smoking something. All my friends were smart enough to have tickets and were already inside. I was high as a Georgia Pine and they tossed a rope, like one of those big Gym Class Ropes, out of the window. It's a good 30 feet up to that window. I said Fuck it,it's dark, nobody's lookin'. I grabbed the rope and half-assed climbed and half-assed got pulled up the side of the building and into the window. It only took a couple of minutes. I risked Life and Limb and being thrown in Jail to see that show. It was worth it. God I had fun back in those days! I love these guys. They're semi-responsible for teaching me how to play a Guitar. For that, and all their great music I am grateful.

Peace.
