Brought To You By The Letter L
You may never have heard of him but if you turned on a Radio in the '70s you've heard him.
That hurt.
Moving along. This next Band is one of my all time favorites. They still get frequent play here in The Cave. After LG died in '79 they split up for nine years. They re-formed and are still Touring today. In fact, they're coming to KC in May.
A founding member of Little Feat and Master of the Slide Stratocaster. They're still a great Band but they, well, we all lost a great talent when Lowell George died way too soon. The sound isn't great on this one but it's a nice tribute to the Man. Oddly,or perhaps not so oddly,I've had that picture of him with the fishing pole and the seaweed in a frame on my wall for years and years. Rest In Peace Lowell.
p.s. If you run across his Solo Release,'Thanks,I'll Eat It Here' I strongly suggest you buy it. I wore out the 8-Track Tape, still have a copy (maybe two) of the LP and play the Japanese Import CD pretty often.
There are a lot more L's but I can't get stuck here all day,so I'll finish up with these guys. You might have heard of them. Some other great talents gone way too soon.
Yeah, yeah, yeah,I know those two songs have been played to death on the Radio, but seeing Allen Collins go off on that Gibson Explorer just warms my heart.
Just one more, for now. This was a very underrated album.
Peace.
